Gabriele Jerke´s objects are drawn onto the paper with fine lines. Hardly noticeable and obviously faded like a memory of these objects, which often belong to the past. Sometimes it is the combination of colours, sometimes technical details of gadgetry: the pattern of metal wires, screws, switches and buttons which decorate the every-day object. At times, she adds fragments of postage stamps to the compositions and like this she transfers commodities into objects of esthetic contemplation.
